Southern Tier Central Regional Planning and Development Board (STC) works with local governments, economic and community development organizations, and human services agencies to identify issues and provide solutions that will improve the economy, the environment, and quality of life across political borders of Chemung, Schuyler, and Steuben Counties.
STC also serves as the local development agency for both the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) and the Economic Development Administration (EDA). In this role, STC brings millions of dollars to Chemung, Schuyler, and Steuben counties and provides much needed technical assistance throughout the region. STC serves as a bridge between local, state, and federal governments working to find solutions to the challenges of today and identify and meet the needs of tomorrow.
