Regional Leadership Conference

STC's 28th Annual Regional Leadership Conference

Registrations to open in January 2025!
Draft conference schedule and class descriptions below.

Continuing Education Credits

Members of planning boards, zoning boards of appeals, and county planning boards are required by state law (Chapter 662) to receive a minimum of four (4) hours of training per year. Although there are a variety of formal and informal ways to receive training, the Regional Leadership Conference offers a convenient training opportunity to meet all of the requirements.

The Regional Leadership Conference is also a great and economical way to obtain credits approved by New York State Department of State Code’s division for municipal Code Enforcement Officers.  Sessions for code enforcement training provide the required documentation for accreditation.

For planning and zoning board members, STC provides a certificate of attendance to hand in to your municipal board for approval. Certificates are included at the registration table along with the conference booklet. It is up to your municipal board to approve or not approve the training courses you attended as planning board credit, so make sure to check in advance that the training sessions you are attending will be accepted as planning board credit by your municipality.
